Today marks a very special occasion; we officially open the Punchbowl Alehouse and Kitchen, located on Old Market in Bristol, taking our pub estate up to 10 sites across our South-West heartland.

Opening it's doors at 11am today, the new pub will sit under the Wickwar Wessex alehouse banner, to deliver a competitively priced range of real ales (£2.70 a pint, daily), along with a home cooked food menu.

The pub, having been closed for a month, has undergone a significant refurbishment, delivering a relaxed and welcoming intimacy, with our contemporary Wickwar twist. The snug entrance, has been opened up to create a comfortable, yet cozy drinking space, while the back of the bar forms an open plan dining area; leading into a modernised, enchanted beer garden – perfect for those balmy summer evenings.

We will be showcasing the best of Bristol’s Acoustic music talent on a regular basis. And for theatre nights, look out for selected specials on crafted cocktails.

Free Wi-Fi and complementary wireless printing service is available and although this pub is far from a sports pub, we will be showing BT and terrestrial sports in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Also on offer, is a 10% discount for all CAMRA members, students and emergency services.

The pub is equiped to cater for small events; whether it’s lunches, office functions or Sunday roasts, the team at the Punchbowl have it covered.

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful new pub.
